Dylan Pooley  built a successful fully fledged Global Equity business, from scratch, entailed building solid framework to ever changing regulatory environment, set up management committees and chaired them, managed a distribution business across our legal entities in equities and derivatives with overall responsibility of risk including equity capital markets. With all the help from a global team and instrumental heads in South Africa we were able to get the equity franchise rated no 1 across Africa.
Following the  merger with ICBC , was instrumental in re-shaping our business across legal entities to accommodate changing strategy.

Dylan Pooley a proprietary trader managing multiple different strategies in excess of $400m including an alpha generation portfolio was tasked to head up CEEMEA equity business in London through the financial crisis, de-risking over $1bn and successfully   reshaping the business and navigating a  radically changing regulatory environment. This entailed managing global risk inclusive of equity capital markets . Overall  optimised the structure, communication and information flow across various business which led to  multi product expansion.

Left Right had the task of repositioning itself  in the market as a digital first through the line agency as well as reshaping the structure and way we do business to show higher profits. With the help of Dylan Pooley, this process has been a great success because of his strategic insights, planning and management of this process over the last year. Dylan’s core role in the process of taking LeftRight to the next growth stage involved many team meetings with the leadership and partners, including a mentoring program and a solid strategic advice base which covered areas like a BEE strategic plan, financial review, setting up sales growth pillars and areas of expansion for the business, employee audit, and holistic 360 review of strengths and weaknesses of our business. We have successfully been able to diversify into a new digital and strategic space, still with our core business offering, but showing a growth in profits within the same structure and staff compliment. We are also now about to potentially venture into a global offering where Dylan is guiding us on how we can take our business plan offshore and execute.
